What we collect
When you send an enquiry through the contact form, we collect your name, work email address, phone number if you give it, organisation, role, sector, timeline, the services you select and your message.
When you email or call us, we collect the details you give us.
When you visit the site, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes this data to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Your browser also requests our fonts from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address.
Why we use it
We use enquiry details to reply to you and to discuss a possible project. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries about our services. If you are asking about a contract with us on your own behalf, our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
We use technical data to run the website and keep it secure. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising or make automated decisions about you.
Who we share it with
Our team in London and New York can read your enquiry. Cloudflare hosts this website and delivers contact form messages to our inbox. Google serves the fonts used on this site. Namecheap, our email provider, stores the emails we exchange with you. We share data with professional advisers or public authorities only when the law requires it.
Cloudflare, Google and Namecheap may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer relies on safeguards recognised by UK law, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry details while we are discussing your enquiry. If we do not go on to work together, we delete them when that conversation ends, unless we need them to deal with a legal claim. If we do work together, we keep project records for as long as our contract and the law require.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your personal data, and ask us to correct it, delete it, restrict our use of it, send it to you or another organisation, or stop using it. To make a request, email hello@bewhitty.com. We reply within one month.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would like the chance to resolve your concern first.
